4. Christian Slater
Although he played the very dark, murderous character, Jason Dean, in the film Heathers, Christian Slater was never convicted of murder. He did, however, spend almost two months in prison due to an incident where he assaulted his girlfriend. He was drunk as well as high at the time. Although Hollywood kept their distance from him for many years, he has recently made it back into good graces with a few films and television series.
5. Danny Trejo
Off to a rough start, Danny Trejo (Machete) spent 11 years in prison when he was younger—for robbery and drugs. Finding Jesus in prison, Trejo turned his life around and is now a famous Hollywood actor—and maybe even the ugliest!
6. Shelley Malil
Best known for his acting in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Shelley Malil was convicted of attempted premeditated murder after repeatedly stabbing his girlfriend. In 2010, Malil was sentenced to life in prison, although the girlfriend (Kendra Beebe) survived the attack. There is a possibility of parole for Malil after he has served 12 years of his prison sentence.
